Thiru. K. Allaudin is a retired IAS officer, He did post-graduation in Commerce in University of Madras and B.L in Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University.
He joined the Indian Administrative Service in 1981 in Tamil Nadu Cadre. He retired from service on 31.03.2013.
During his service he served as Principal Secretary, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Principal Secretary and Special Officer for World Classical Tamil Conference, Principal Secretary, Highways & Minor Ports Department, Commissioners of Municipal Corporations fo Madurai and Chennai. He also served as District Collector and Magistrate of Dharmapuri District.
He served also as Member, 5th Tamil Nadu Police Commission and presently serving as Chairman of 7th State Finance Commission.
