He is an Indian Administrative Service Officer of the 2017 batch. He is working as the Deputy Secretary (Budget) in the Finance Department of the Government of Tamil Nadu since 2021, where he is responsible for preparation of the State Budget
He is also serving as the Member Secretary of the State Pensions Committee, which has been constituted in 2025 to study the existing pension models and recommend the most suitable pension system for the State Government employees.
In addition, he has been appointed as the Officer on Special Duty (Strengthening Statistical Systems) to oversee the methodology for preparation of the estimates for Gross Domestic Product of the State among other major indicators.
He has previously worked as Subcollector and Additional Collector (Rural Development) in the districts of Tirunelveli and Erode respectively.
